The Quest For 2025: Goals In The Making

With the magic of Christmas behind us, the final days of the year bring a unique energy—a blend of reflection and anticipation. As the clock ticks closer to New Year’s Eve, I find myself turning my gaze forward, toward the promise of 2025. This is a time for dreaming, planning, and setting intentions for the year ahead. Join me as I unveil my goals for 2025, a year filled with ambition, growth, and new adventures.

More Balance In My Writing

In 2024, I made the conscious decision to focus more intently on my writing than ever before. It was a bold step forward, but one that came with its own set of challenges. While I’ve made great strides in nurturing my creativity and expanding the world-building for ‘Beyond Shattered Bonds’, I’ve also faced moments of inconsistency. There were days, and sometimes even stretches of days, where my writing was sidelined.

For 2025, I want that to change. This upcoming year, I aim to create a more disciplined and balanced approach to my writing. My goal is to write every day, even if it’s just a little. Whether it’s a paragraph, a sentence, or even brainstorming ideas, I want to stay connected to my craft daily. No more missed days, no more extended lapses. 2025 will be a year where writing becomes not just a priority, but a habit—a constant part of my routine.

Continuing My Weight-Loss Journey

The last few years have been a rollercoaster when it comes to my weight—a battle fought with moments of triumph, but also times of setback. However, as 2024 came to a close, I began to find my footing thanks to intermittent fasting. This approach has brought more victories than defeats, offering stability and, most importantly, a sense of balance that feels sustainable.

Setting goals doesn’t always mean waiting for the new year to start; sometimes, it’s about continuing the momentum you’ve already built. In 2025, I want this journey to culminate in success. By the end of the year, I hope to look back and say I’ve reached my weight-loss goal and that I’m finally back to where I want to be—both physically and mentally.

Travel To A New Country

Before the world was turned upside down by Covid, traveling was a big part of my life. In fact, just before they made it impossible to fly, I had been traveling with two close friends, creating memories and exploring new places. It’s something I’ve missed deeply, and I want to make it a priority again.

In 2025, I’m committing to making travel a regular part of my life by ensuring that each year, I visit at least one new country. For this upcoming year, my sights are set on Kenya—a place rich with culture, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant wildlife. Exploring different cultures and environments is not only fulfilling but also incredibly inspiring.

Life has so much to offer, and staying in one place feels limiting to me. Traveling brings fresh perspectives and sparks of creativity that fuel my passion for writing and help elevate my ‘Beyond Shattered Bonds’ series to new heights. Kenya, with its unique beauty and history, feels like the perfect destination to reignite my love for travel.

More Useful Habits

As I look ahead to 2025, I want to focus not only on larger goals but also on building small, consistent habits that make my life more productive and enriching. Here are a few habits I’m planning to incorporate into my daily routine:

  • Reading Daily: Committing to reading for at least half an hour a day. Whether it’s fantasy for inspiration, a self-development book, or something completely different, it’s a habit that helps expand my horizons and keeps my mind engaged.
  • Daily Journaling: Spending 10–15 minutes each day jotting down thoughts, story ideas, or reflections. This can help generate new ideas for my writing.
  • Working Out: My weight-loss journey includes three weekly spinning sessions for cardio and three days of strength training with dumbbells. A consistent routine will help me stay healthy and energized throughout 2025.
  • Daily Walks: A habit I’m continuing into 2025—aiming for at least 10,000 steps daily. It’s great for my health and a perfect way to find inspiration.

These are my goals for the upcoming year. How about you? Do you have any goals you’re looking to achieve in 2025, or maybe some habits you want to continue in the new year? I’d love to hear about them—Feel free to reach out and share your plans with me!
